FRS 10 Series vs. BRZ Limited

I apologize if this has been extensively discussed already but I need to choose between one soon and needed some advice on which way to go.

I am being offered the 10 series FRS for the MSRP 28,150 - 750 cause I am a recent grad.

The BRZ Limited I am getting for 28,298 which I reckon is a good price.

If you were in my shoes, which would you pick? They are almost identical.

If you can deal with the color silver and the ugly emblems on the 10 series, then i'd advise you to get that.

I like the leather seats/ alcantara brz for me , although I wouldn't mind for the scion 10.

I would swap out all emblems to Toyota though

I wanted the BRZ and didn't even want to look at a FR-S. I looked at a few BRZ's and for one reason or another it did not work out. I ended up getting impatient and ended up with a FR-S. When I'm driving the car I don't care because the car is so fun but when I see the interior of a BRZ I get sad. There are other things that I didn't notice the FR-S is missing, there aren't any lights on the visors, less sound denting etc. The FR-S is noisy on the highway I'm not sure about the BRZ. I feel you get more for your money with the BRZ Limited. The 10 is ok if you ask me, but i haven't see one in person.

Where are you located? That price seems high on a BRZ Limited. Many people are getting them for $27K or less depending on location.

I had the same choice and I went with the Scion. Both are very similar and it's going to come down to a few minor differences really. I made another recent post that mentioned some of them, I'll repost it here:

Just as an FYI, the 10 series narrows the gap a lot with the Limited and you should consider it as well depending on which features matter to you. Below I think is an appropriate comparison and I'm pretty sure the price is almost dead even.

Both have:

Push button start
Upgraded headlights
Auto climate

Differences still:

Front grill design difference, Scion's considered more aggressive
Scion10 has more powerful stock stereo (+100W) and arguably better touch head unit (no nav)
Scion10 is only one paint color Silver Ignition
BRZ has leather seats and heated seats
Scion10 is a true "limited" edition with only 2500 made
Scion10 has light-up badges, a plus or minus depending on your opinion
Scion10 doesn't force a spoiler on you unless you choose one.

My personal opinion based on where I live, there are two things that made me prefer the Scion10 when shopping. The better stock stereo (had no plans to install anything) and the arguably better looking grill design. I live in Arizona, I'll never care about heated seats and don't want my skin to stick to hot leather, so I didn't consider those lacking as a bad thing. I also didn't want a spoiler, I liked the more clean look for some reason.

Anyway, that's more info for you to chew on.
Little things like lighted visors and sound deadening I wasn't aware of, I wish some professional site would do a detailed comparison of them now. There are also little things like do you like the 86 piston logo on the side or the more plain BRZ sides? If it comes down to splitting hairs, you can even think which dealership is closer to you, which company warranty do you prefer, which dashboard color scheme do you like better, etc.

As nice as the BRZ Limited is, I just can't look at one and not see Ned Flanders. I will forever be unable to unsee it.

All but one dealer new me wasn't willing to sell me a limited for 27k. I just couldn't make my mind up at the time.

Trunk lid liner is another silly one I didn't noticed at the time, silly FR-S is only less $ because its a striper but a sexy one. :-)

Get the BRZ, even though the FRS-10 has great JDM headlights, the BRZ's are better. The interior in the BRZ is better too. A lot of FRS owners endlessly compare their FRS to the BRZ, it's evident that they wish they had a BRZ.

Come to think of it, you could probably dig up a bunch of GT86 vs BRZ Limited reviews from overseas that might expose a few more things. I could be wrong but I believe the 10 series is basically the same as the GT86 now except for the custom Scion bling. Here's one for example:

Base FR-S maybe, 10 series nope.

Also let's not forget Jeremy Clarkson's clear definitive preference for the GT86 based upon this comprehensive comparison:

Lol.

Well, I see it more as a "wicked smile" than anything else and consider it more aggressive than an angry face (which is getting old in cars).

FYI some of the colors for the BRZ have lower production numbers than the 2500 for the 10 series. 2500 is actually quite a lot for a special edition car!

Doesnt the 10 series get a TRD exhaust as well?
