Softening coils.

So I decided to soften my coils now the the track season is over. Now my question is. Is there a way to soften them without taking them compleatly my off the car. I googled my particular set of coils and it looks like I can. I just can't do it alone.

What coilovers do you have? Most coils have an adjustment knob on top of the shock tower that you just spin.. Occasionally they're on the bottom...

ahh, if the adjustment knobs are there, just a quick spin of the knob is all that's necessary.. That's the case for my BC's anyway..
