Sat in FR-S yesterday

Had the opportunity to sit in the FR-S yesterday. It was much nicer than I had expected with soft touch materials everywhere. The buttons by the transmission had a nice matte brushed aluminum that surprised me. Aluminum pedals and door sills were a nice touch and a surprise for a "low spec". One bummer was that the red accents (all the stitching and the red areas on the seat) are being removed for the Canadian production model. Another nice surprise was the font used for the climate controls didn't look as bad as I thought from the photos. Overall I came out of there impressed and feel better about getting the Scion vs. the Subaru. The grade of materials used is far beyond the rest of the Scion lineup so I won't miss my Lexus too much when I trade it in.

I wouldn't mind if they remove the red area on the seat in the US model but leave the red stitching everywhere else.

yes yes YES! Thank you Scion Canada for realizing that Canadians have more taste than 'Mericuns.

But I am not so sure you are right about this - the key fob for the one at the CIAS has "prototype" typed on it so the interior may not be production spec. Did you get verbal confirmation?

Arthur, if it was the car show FR-S you sat in, your info is wrong - that car is American spec, speedo is in MPH and there are no heated mirrors, so the seating may not be correct for us... http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...055#post137055

So let me get this straight, did the car you sat in look like this?

Or did it look like this?

Let's start with the basics and go from there. I'm a canadian buyer and so i'm interested in confirming the details.

They probrably got the G trim interior the same as the Japanese which is just our FRS with no red stiching, and Red part on the Seat. Highly doubt they would get a full blown 86 GT Limited interior. * that's not Leather btw*
