Autobahn Indoor Speedway Jessup

I went there for the first time today. Awesome experience if you love driving or racing. Especially if, like me, you've never done any type of racing before; go karts or otherwise. If you go with friends, tell them and they'll put you in the same races. I also found out that I'm not as fast as I thought I'd be. And how infuriating it can be to see someone pulling away just a little after each corner. There are two tracks. A "LeMans" track and a "Monaco" track. The LeMans track is a higher speed track with shorter lap times. The Monaco track seems more technical, but both are challenging. After each race you are given some printouts with your lap times, best lap time, average lap time and a chart to show your progression. This includes the times of others in your group as well. I've been meaning to try out Autobahn speedway, but haven't had a chance. I have gone to a speedway place up in New Jersey that was a blast, but it was just one track and they charge the same amount of money for a race.

It's such a blast! I've been a few times with friends and your lap times are quite good! It's definitely an adrenaline rush (I sweat when I go)!
If this is your first foray into racing, then I highly recommend you try autocross next. I had never karted before last year and 2014 I started autocrossing so I'm quite new at this but I'm having a blast  Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
