AZP Private Track Day -Sept 24th
The registration cutoff is Sept 13th, if we don't have a minimum number of folks signed up by then we'll have to CANCEL this event and give it another try next year. We don't want to do that! Tentative schedule is posted on our Facebook Event Page. Registration is now open at http://AZPTrackEvents.com

ATE Superblue Changes
Once again the Federal Government has decided that their resources are better spent on dictating the color of brake fluid going into our cars than solving real problems. With that said ATE is no longer distributing ATE Superblue in the United States because it is no longer DOT approved. They felt it looked too much like washer fluid and felt people would put it into their washer bottles or visa versa. We will no longer be using ATE Superblue (because we can't get it) in our brake services. ATE now has a Gold version of the fluid which we'll be using as well as Motul RBF Racing fluid which are equally as good as the ATE Superblue. Here is a link to the full article about the Superblue stop sales.

Parts Sales at AZP Installs
Many of our customers still don't realize that we carry almost every single part you can order online right here in our shop. The truth is, every online retailer orders from the same distributors we do. While our prices may be slightly higher, rest assured if there are any issues with the parts when we do the initial install, the problem will solely be on our shoulders and you won't be fighting with some faraway company shipping back the parts etc. Another advantage to ordering through us is that even if you aren't having us install them, we know what parts will work together and what the advantages are because we've used and installed the parts. Online retailers know 3 things about the parts: 1) Part Number 2) Price 3) Their Profit Margin. Last bonus to buying the package from us is that we offer a 10% discount on the Labor side of the package if you are purchasing the parts through AZP. (Just remind us about the 10% discount when we ring you up).

Winter Tire Service/Tech
I know it's still 85 degrees and humid out, but winter will be here before you know it. Let's get prepared for winter though because stock of winter tires usually start getting low in popular sizes. When I mention winter tires to people here in NY/NJ often times they say "we don't get a lot of snow here". This is true, in our area some winters we don't get any snow at all. Last winter we didn't get a whole lot of snow, but we had some fiercely cold weather. This is where winter tires come into play. Typically summer tires are good down to about 50 degrees ambient below that the rubber compound in them becomes hard and plasticky. This leads to almost no traction when the temps dip down and puts you in an unsafe and potentially illegal situation, during a panic stop you can lose traction and slide into that car on the GSP or the NJTP. All season tires operate in a lower temperature range optimally between 70 and 30 degrees, below and above that this compound will not work properly. Winter tires depending on which ones you purchase will grip the road well from 50 down to negative digits as well as in snow and ice. We offer both snow tires as stand alone replacements for your current tires or as a package where you can get both tires and rims for the winter tires so you can swap them out during the winter and then back to your all-seasons or summers once spring comes.
