How much oil does your 86 take..?

Anyone noticing that this car takes a LOT of oil?

I went out and bought two containers (2.5L each) of 5w-30 castrol edge and to my surprise, it was reading a little low on the dipstick..I just filled up the engine with 5L of 5w-30 castrol edge recently and i had to go out and buy another batch to top it off.

Have I over-filled the engine? I'm a little worried as this may lead to my headers/exhaust being filled with oil as a i drive around

It takes 5.4L to refill it.
It's in the service book.

Yes, with the filter.
You would always change the filter at the same time so I don't know why they would even give the other volume?
The 5.4L should be correct for the new spec smaller filter[160]
