Audi TT

What do you guys think of these cars? I've been designing a 3d rendering of one for a project but I don't know much about them. The 2nd gens definitely seem to look better than the 1st gens. And I heard that they were developed on the beetle platform, is that true?

I never contemplated getting one until recently. What do you you "86" fans think about them?

I don't really know the answer to your question about the beetle but the TT never really interested me much. A good looking FWD/4WD 2 seater, but the looks never quite matched its performance (or lack of), until I read about the TT-RS.

At one point I considered getting a used one, but I read a bit too many complaints about the reliability and the cost of getting a luxury German car fixed.

Its kinda rare to ever see one these days. I wonder if its because no one buys them or if its because they're all in the shop. I was told it was also made popular in a "chick flick" and subsequently had a reputation for a being a "chick car".

I don't like them. They always looked a bit too feminine.

The MKII looks pretty good to me, but I can understand people having issues with the styling. It isn't for everybody. I suppose with the reliability issues and maintenance costs it's like owning a Porsche without the performance. (for those of us outside of Germany I suppose)

I have seen the MKIs go for very cheap (and I can only assume the MKIIs will as well in a few years), but like Steel said, I never see them anywhere. Maybe they really are all in the shop.

Hi guys,I'm a TT mk1 owner, this one is my coupé

It's a 1.8 turbo engine with 180cv,front traction only.
Honestly, the handling is not of a sport car,the original platform was the same of Golf IV edition...but it is bit amazing to drive on mountain ways, like Stelvio Pass (for who of you know it..)

TT-RS is actually almost as fast as a v10 r8.

EDIT: AS FAST AS A V8 R8
