The way I went about it so that I wouldnt have to wait was that I called every scion near by until I found the one I wanted. A lot had the silver one i wanted the firestorm. I think I might've just gotten lucky tho especially since I didnt have to go very far to purchase it. Might be worth a try tho. Good luck!

I bought my FRS from them (my pics still have their license plate frames... lol)
I walked in and walked out with a firestorm MT, no waiting =X
I did follow them on facebook, and they actually notified me when the cars came in and which ones were available up until the day i went in "to look"

Although i believe i got one of their first batches and they received like 7+ cars.

They're one of the main dealerships in the region so they should get better allotment. (what they told me)

Not sure what you are looking for and it's been a week since I checked but Lia Toyota/Scion near Albany had a Raven MT and a Whiteout AT in stock recently. Might be worth the trip.

If you're willing to travel then shoot an email to toyotacolonie@liacars.com and ask for Scott. I ended up buying my car at my local dealership here, Wallingford Toyota. They are really one of the top dealers in the country and I've never seen a dealer take care of people like them but Scott @ Lia was very easy to deal with via email when I was shopping. Even after I alerted him that I had decided to buy locally he continued to offer assistance via email and I told him I'd point anyone I can in his direction.

Oh no i already bought the car but i've been waiting for three weeks and no call, so i was just trying to see how long others had to wait as well.

Yeah i saw the AT Firestorm as well but opted for an MT Asphalt, but i went back yesterday to see if they had any news and the AT Firestorm was gone.

You bought the car or you put a deposit down? A deposit is refundable.

Don't "buy" a car unless it's on the lot and you can drive it home that day if necessary.

would you say its better if look around for an FR-S that is in stock and just buy that and get my deposit back? however that would be kinda douchey since im pretty sure its already in transit.

Do what you gotta do, it's your money. and they're not gonna have a problem selling an FRS - just hope you never have to go back to that dealership and look at that salesman in the eye again HAHA.

the firestorm AT was just bought yesterday? I wonder if that's the same one that's been sitting in the lot since I got my raven a month ago.

I actually walked in hoping to see the whiteout that night, ended up going home with a raven. STill no regrets. Then again, I still haven't seen a white frs yet. Hope I never do.

douchey? no
like stated above its your money, and you already waited 3 weeks.

besides, if your worried if you back out and they wont be able to sell it, then thats probably moot. theyll sell it.
They might even sell it without even letting you know and just have you wait. I think theyre more honest than that. but frankly most dealers are still just working in stealerships.
