18" wheels with car lowered

If anyone has one of our 86's with 18" wheels and the car lowered can you please provide pics and put how much its lowered. I want to know if it would be possible to lower this car 1 or 1.5" on 18s and if so what it would look like. Thanks in advance.

Tire size (diameter) has no bearing on how far you can lower the car. The overall diameter of the wheel/tire combination still remains the same because you put lower profile (thinner) tires on a larger rim.

It usually is close, but often isn't exactly the same. I'll be a few percentage larger when I get my setup, but you are right, it isn't because of the rims are 18's; it is because I am choosing a tire that has a slightly larger diameter than the stocks.

To the OP: What Leonardo said... lots of pics in the directory.

18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear with about a 1.75-2 inch drop from buddy club racing spec coilovers. First two pics were closer to 1.5 inch though.
