Looking for safe & legal place to hoon near Seattle

I would like to get some advice on places that I can legally test the handling limits of my BRZ, in a safe environment, either with or without an instructor, and preferably within an hour drive of Seattle.

Ultimately what I'd like to do is get into a completely empty parking lot with no other cars, turn off traction control, and go nuts in the first few gears. I'd like to learn when my car will understeer and oversteer, and how to deal with it first hand.

I assume autocross and track days won't cut it as I'll look like a douche for oversteering, spinning out, and endangering other people/cars.

I did see that, but wasn't sure if it was supernoob friendly . I don't want to waste other people's time learning the basics.

I don't think you should worry about that. All of us has to start somewhere!

I've done a donut or two at northgate mall during late hours

Just gotta go to mall late at night and go crazy.

Funny too, in the middle of a donut, I got too excited that I let go of the throttle and the clutch at the same and ending up in a stall, hehehe.

I do some mini drifts on wide turns in between stop lights by going fast and flicking the back just to see if I can catch the oversteer and surprisingly it is easy to correct with either more throttle and counter steer or just letting go off the throttle. Gosh, the control of this car is good.

I have always found the more experienced guys to be super-friendly and accommodating for the newer guys, as long as the newer guys are respectful and willing to learn, and not just there to act like an idiot with their car.
