BRZ: Bluetooth not showing any track info

Just got my BRZ last week, and have paired it with my Samsung Galaxy Nexus. No problems with connectivity, but when I play stuff off the phone's music player, I don't see any track info about what's being played, nor do I have any control of where it's playing within the track (kinda annoying on a 2 hour pod cast).

The photos in the manual seems to show it displaying song titles and a progress bar, but all I have is pause, play, skip forward, and skip backwards buttons.

Is this an issue with my phone, or something else?

Also depends on the application. Not sure if it is the latest Pandora or Android OS, but either way, info from this application no longer gets displayed, but it used to. However, Google Music and Samsung's Milk application both display info on the head unit.

Another issue I have been having (SCH-I535) is my Bluetooth keeps disconnecting/reconnecting. I do not recall having this much issue when my phone was first upgraded to Android 4.3

Perhaps I have dropped my phone one too many times (granted, it has always been in an Otterbox commuter case since I got it) and the Bluetooth module is messed up

I'm just using the Google music app. Android 4.2.2. I also tried it with my OLD Droid II phone and had the same issue.
