Big Brake Kits

Hi, I've been looking at brakes, and I think I want to go with stoptech, but ft-86speedfactory does not have front 355X32 slotted front brakes with red calipers... just black. They do have drilled, but I prefer slotted over drilled. I also found slotted rear upgrade, so I will be getting those. So I guess what I'm asking is, should/could I find somewhere else with front slotted 355X32 with red calipers? Help would be appreciated.

Drilled is for looks. Don't track it. Maybe that's what you're after.

I don't know who might have them, nut there is a long list of vendors. I'm sure someone will.

I can't answer your question, but you could also look at the AP/Essex sprint kit. Lots of track 86s use that kit with excellent results.

What are you looking to improve / get out of the brake upgrade? Purely for looks? Purely for performance? If performance, what usage?

What he said! What are you trying to accomplish? The answer to that question will guide your kit choice. Have you read the brake upgrade guide I wrote?

Might want to consider looking at RR Racing offerings. They use slotted STI rotors with Wilwood calipers offered in black and red stock colors and pretty much any other color is available for an extra fee. They come in WAY under other offerings but still offer correct brake bias and thick pads for people who want to reduce track costs.

I have to agree with this. I've been eyeballing BBKs for a potential track upgrade for my car and I have to say the RR Racing kits seem to really hit all the marks. Quality components, complete part list, great pricing, and they are used by the company that sells them on their shop car.

@86Frost
Here's the RR Racing BBK thread @Lynxis mentioned above. Recommended reading.
