Need advice.. Help..

Just need a sound advice.. I'm new to this tuning and performance products.. B&M performance ad racing group.. A rep is offering me to use my car for making prototype products.. Is it a good idea? Or back away from those kind of stuff? Thanks.

Do research on the shop and make sure they have a good reputation and have been in business for a while. You don't want to hand your new ride over to a fly-by-night company that could damage it (or worse). Are you referring to B&M the company that makes transmission products? If so I think you should be in good hands. Make sure you both set realistic expectations of how long the car will be in their care for R&D; you don't want to be hounding them wanting your car back if they're trying to finish a product development.

Alright. these are the companies mentioned B&M Racing, Hurst Shifter, Hurst Drivelines and Flowmaster Mufflers. So yeah sound like the companies are branded. What you think?

I say why not? Those companies aren't traditonal import car tuners but I say go for it if it means free parts for you and good parts for us!

If you have an extra car then go for it.

R&D could take from 2 weeks to more than a month so be prepared not to have your car for that long

Just want to hear from y'all that have experience in tuning and all that. The rep told me that what they're creating is a shifter. They won't need the car that long. Just like a few hours of measurement and be back for fitting and testing.

B&M made great short throw shifters... Made for plenty of import cars.

Awesome! I don't think there's a short shifter on the market yet. B&M makes short shifters for Toyotas so I think they're a good candidate.

It is a pending decision cuz of my car is still in the dealer due to CEL issue, rpm dip, etc. But yeah he proposed those stuff. use of my car for creating shifter and photoshoot of my car. Let's see how it goes.
