WORKS/Ohlins Stage II R&T Coilover Suspension

We are excited to announce that the WORKS/Ohlins Stage II Road & Track Coilover Suspension is available for the FR-S and BRZ!

Öhlins is the world leader in advanced suspension technology and WORKS was the first company in the U.S. to equip them on Mitsubishi Evolutions.

The new WORKS/Öhlins Stage II Road & Track coilovers for the FR-S/BRZ continue the advancement of the DFV (Dual Flow Valve) components.

This kit is designed to enhance Scion/Subaru's handling during track and autocross events while still keeping daily street use in mind.

External features include independent ride height and spring pre-load.

The DFVs are also constructed with aluminum casings for strength and weight savings.

Inside, the enhanced valving offers improved control without sacrificing ride quality.

The adjustable front plates give you the option of increasing negative camber to the front wheels that allow for better grip during aggressive driving.

The advantage of using a rear pillow ball upper shock mount is that your vehicle will achieve better response from the rear shock absorbers, which yields a much better and more confident feeling from the vehicle.

The product can be found in our web-store at https://store.worksmotorsports.com/P...ctCode=227.211!

I clicked on this link

https://store.worksmotorsports.com/P...ctCode=227.211

And towards the bottom, where it has the "features" it lists the spring rates.

I had Ohlins on my BMW 135i, and I remember the Exact Same spring rates (343 front and 400 rear) came with the Ohlins kit for the BMW.

They're stage 2. So your rep multiplier is higher, and you'll get more xp after each race.

Is there an Ohlins license plate frame available? ..kinda serious though - it'd be nice to have one after spending $3k on Ohlins so you could gloat.

You could always just take a sharpie and write "steal me" all over your car instead.

I never heard of thieves stealing coilovers on the street. ..they aint rims lol.

As for stealing the entire car... thieves are interested in bling cars, stereo systems, front mount intercooler turbos with 5" exhausts, 18"-22" rims, maybe jdm nerded out cars ..they don't know what Ohlins is and my car will be 99% stock, down to the awesome stock catback and ugly black 17" wheels.

Difference appears to be revalved dampers 25 point adjustable and higher rear spring rates which technically would work with origina dfv setup.

But details.would help.

Thanks for the interest guys!

And yes, allow me to explain what we are offering.

In regards to the “Stage II” designation, that is simply an internal name we use because we may in the future offer a lower budget “Stage I” suspension upgrade package.

Concerning the WORKS/Öhlins Stage II Road & Track coilovers specifically it is correct that the only change is the rear spring rates of 70 N/mm. It is important to understand why we have made that change though.

After years of observing Mitsubishi Evos and Subarus using standard Öhlins coilovers we saw over and over again that they had too soft of rear spring rates and it would result in excessive understeer. We also took note that the factory FR-S and BRZ rear spring rates were higher than the front. The factory FR-S rear spring rate is 60% higher and the BRZ is about 30%. Thus, we choose to equip our Öhlins with 70 N/mm rear spring rates that served to give a front to back ratio that was closer to the factory ratio and ultimately produce a more neutral handling vehicle.

That said, we also offer custom spring rates and damper valving for those that are interested. As
@Dezoris mentioned, 70 N/mm is acceptable with the standard valving, but if you want to go beyond that you will need to have the dampers re-valved. For an additional $400 we offer the choice of any spring rates you would like (using Eibach springs) and the re-valving service for the rear dampers. Our technicians have been factory trained to rebuild Öhlins coilovers and WORKS is a factory authorized Öhlins Service Center.

Pardon me but I'm entering pedant mode. I have 6k springs f&r and do not consider my car to be suffering from "excessive understeer". This is using AD08 or Kumho V710. Like many other variables "steer" has personal preferences.
