SEIBON Carbon Fenders Install

Hey everyone! I’m super excited to write this up for you all. During the off season we aimed our focus on lightening our FR-S while maximizing horsepower. A big contributor to our weight reduction is our brand new SEIBON Carbon Fiber fenders. These fenders saved us notable weight in comparison to the stock OEM fenders while adding a super aggressive look to the race car. Not only did we change out our fenders, we also got a totally new look with adding our brand new FA hood. These two amazing products totally refreshed the look of our FR-S for the 2015 season and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. We have always loved our American themed livery and this is just the touch of change that we needed for the new season!

Here’s a super quick guideline to show how easy these are to install on any FR-S or BRZ. For more detailed instructions from SEIBON Carbon, check out: http://seiboncarbon.com/downloads/tu...tion_guide.pdf

First we removed our bumper and headlights.

Next, we removed all of the bolts holding the fender on (this photo shows 3 of them)

You must also pop off the cowl to get to a another fastener:

Here is a shot of the entire OEM fender, headlight, and bumper removed from the race car:

To remove the fender garnish we used a needle nose to squeeze these clips and release it:

Then we transfered the fender guides from the OEM fender to the new Seibon Carbon Fiber Fenders:

Lastly, we aligned the new Seibon Carbon Fiber fender and bolted it on in all the same oem locations with the oem hardware:

We completed the same steps on the other side of the car, and that was it! Everything aligns perfect with the fitment of these fenders. We saved approximately 6 lbs with these new fenders! Be sure to check out the reveal video that highlights all our new upgrades and changes for the 2015 season:
