Quality = too mediocre...
It's often similar pricing to buy pristine used wheels from more 'top tier' brands. I've scored two different sets of BBS wheels for a grand, and a set of XD9's for $1.1k in the past. Much higher quality and lighter than some of the so-so brands for the same price. I don't mind if someone else has rolled on them as long as the condition is excellent. I just have the seller meet me at a local tire shop so the wheels can be checked for straightness before forking over the cash. Worth it for the $25-50 a shop will charge for a half hour of their time.

Why even bother, when these enkei's are not that expensive, with 95% of the same look.

Nice looking. They're look a lot like Koenig Oversteers, which look a lot like Volk G25s and so on and so on. Generally all modern wheels sold in the U.S. (including XXRs) are perfectly fine quality for the street. What race for money are some pretending to be running I don't know.
- Price will likely be similar to other newer XXR wheels in the U.S. which tend to be inexpensive. - Weight, probably heavier than average as all deep concave + low offset wheels tend to be (unless you're shopping on the higher end.) Get what you want. If you decide your goals change or you want something else later, resell them and try again. Do what makes you happy. |
