It's the heat from the header and has nothing to do with the tune itself. You can try to insulate the ignition coils on the passenger side as discussed here, at least that's what I did and the error didn't came up again. The error isn't necessarily related to your header but non-isolated or coated headers might even intensify this problem. If the error persists, buy a new ignition coil. Can be replaced within few minutes by yourself. HTH.

common problem especially on early model cars. later cars had updated coil pack.
happens on cars with stock headers and tunes as well. just replace coil pack https://www.google.com.au/search?q=p...e:ft86club.com |

You can reset the code but there's a good chance it'll come back soon when you go wide open. I've got the latest one even in the winter (freezing temps) when you'd expect to not have any heat issues
![]() Luckily it doesn't indicate imminent failure and seems safe to drive on until you get it replaced.

What if I replace the coil packs. Does anyone think it'll happen soon?

I'm going to replace both #1 and #3 coil packs. I'm also going to look into wrapping the header to keep temps down, if people think that's a good idea. There is a mega thread somewhere if you search for it. |

Happens to me too, mostly when I try to redline all gears in a straightaway. I guess it means you encounter a misfire or knock at WOT. If you daily it at about 70% aggressiveness, it shouldn't happen often. I guess it's inevitable that you will see this issue though and will eventually have to replace.
