JSC - factory tune?

So what exactly is a factory tune? Once I complete the installation, is the supercharger kit plug and play? Can someone get by with just the factory tune?

I plan on daily driving my new FRS, just need a little more umph.

JRSC has two kits: One with a tune and one without. Kit with a tune comes with ECUtek and license, costs extra $1k. Plug and play given you dont have any other significant mods besides the SC.

Factory tune means they provide a tune specific to the JR supercharger installed on a stock (Factory spec) car.

has anyone heard of someone blowing their motors from JRSC factory tune?

The shop I was going to have install the kit told me the tune is the most important, if its too lean it'll blow up :/

A "factory" tune would be relatively non-aggressive so that it will work safely across many cars and environments. A factory tune is also required if the kit has CARB exemption.

If in doubt, datalog

The JRSC Factory tune is a "Plug and Play" tune they sold with the kit.

It is a fairly conservative tune due to meeting California Emissions and the stock fuel pump is on the edge of what it can do.

If you plan to just daily the car the factory tune is great and no upgraded fuel pump is needed.

The Factory Tuned system is our CARB legal system. It includes the EcuTek license, cable and Jackson Racing CARB calibration. It is designed to be used with the factory catalytic converters in place.

The same CARB calibration has been daily driven and track abused by customers across the world, including our street FR-S that we daily drive and track.

By special request only. Please message us if you're interested in purchasing a kit. We have supported Jackson Racing since the beginning and have quite a bit of knowledge on the platform + kit.
