Gurney flap customized BRZ
Hello all,
I want to start off by saying I cannot take credit for this. I actually got the idea off of another member on this forum. As everyone knows a gurney flap really completes the wing on the BRZ. However an STI flap is extremely expensive for what it is. Which made me do some searching. I found that a lip spoiler off of an M3 is the correct width. With some minor trimming and some forming the lip spoiler sticks on to the wing with some double sided 3M tape. I literally built a form to help the spoiler Bend properly. And with some help of 95 degree sunny days here in Central PA and some stainless steel commercial hinges, I got the correct Bend on this lip spoiler. Once it was soft enough it was very pliable and I was able to form it to the car with ease. All you really need is some rubbing alcohol and a nice good Sharp utility blade.
