Subaru Impreza STi - Polishing - Reflections Detailing GTA

On arrival I was worried that a 1 step wouldn't bring it back to mint-ness. The wheels and exhaust were in poor shape and took some extra time and effort. After all that though, the vehicle did end up extremely well off. The paint made it extremely difficult to remove polish, so some pictures may look a little hazy, after shots however are crystal clean.

Wash:
CG CWC
Zymol Wash Sponge
Dread lock MF Mitt

Wheels:
Meguiars APC 4:1
Autoglym Custom Wheel Cleaner
Raceglaze Wheel Brush + Lug Nut Brush
IronX
EZ Wheel Brush
Tire Brush
PERL 1:1
CG Barebones

Decontamination:
Ricardo Yellow Claybar
ONR Clay Lube

Polishing:
PF2500 on White
OPT Metal Polish on tips

Protection:
Menzerna Power Lock
Ultima Trim and Tire

Befores:

Super caked on soot.

Rear wheels were OK.

Front needed a lot of work.

Lots of swirls.

Wax buildup on the edge of the bra.

Lots of fun driving going on.

Damage to be taken care of.

Someone loved to use wax on everything...

During:

Autoglym doing work.

IronX needed on pitting.

Keep in mind these are "cleaned" wheels.

Round 2 IronX.

2 Bucket Washing.

Pampered up.

Ready to clay.

ONR Sprayed to neutralize hard water.

Fresh yellow clay.

Lots of dirt after a couple panels.

Time for polishing!

Before.

The sun says it all.

Love this shot.

Couldn't ask for any better from a light 1 step.

Rear complete.

Next challenger.

Half way there.

Wax residue on trim.

All fixed up.

Polishing completed.

Nasty looking seal.

After.

Yikes.

Exhaust after.

After:

The perfection is in the reflection.

Thanks for looking!

#1 Good work
#2 One of my favorite color for the STi
#3 You must of melted that day, minus the time that the tree prevented the burning sun.
#4 Look's like the owner didn't put enough work when he waxed his own car... damn, that looked like a bitch to clean.
