rear windshield brake light

So I had a quick question about the rear windshield brake light wondering if its supposed to work. I got my tints done and realized in the trunk that the middle connection was just hanging disconnected. I connected it back and the brake light still does not work. Wondering if anyone can shed some light on how the connections should be in the trunk for working lights

The top portion of the light comes off. There are two spade connections inside the light, one of them probably disconnected.

No its a fake light. Subaru puts it there just to fool the DOT to pass regulations.
