DEQ Testing w/ OFT Tune?

Hey guys,

DEQ is due this month. First time I have to DEQ my frs and was wondering If anyone has run the OFT UEL Tune and passed the DEQ test? I know it's a simple OBD2 port plug and test. The OFT tune does turn off the O2 sensor cel because the lack of a cat converter on UEL headers. Will the DEQ test see that even though the car isn't throwing a cel?

Also, the tune runs the idle a little higher than than stock at 750 rpm. Back in California, even idle revs made a huge difference in emission testing. Should I worry about that? I know I could change it back to stock using romraider if necessary.

Thanks in advance!

Any news? I have not seen anyone in the software tuning forum have trouble with OFT tunes and DEQ testing.

passed fine with an EcuTek tune that has the O2 code turned off...as long as readiness is set it doesn't matter

it's been awhile but I did pass fine. I checked the readiness first before I went just to make sure and I passed within 3 mins.

. So, I'm getting catted uel headers and using an oft, intend on stage 2... what were you set to for the deq test? What mods do you have on?

OFH, trd catback, and drop in filter. I also have a bad secondary O2 sensor that I i'm using OFT to zero out the feedback. I was worried my O2 would cause an issue with emissions testing but when I checked my mil status with a scanner everything said "ready" including the O2 check. Took it to DEQ and it passed the obd2 port testing.

Great! Thanks for the responses! Just like op, I'm kinda nervous about making changes and screwing deq, but these cars almost require mods.
