CEL with new intake

Just installed the FA20club CAI the CEL instantly came on. I've only driven 20 miles and it's still on. Will ECU adjust to the extra air or is something wrong? Thanks!

EDIT: I also have the FA20club tune but it won't be installed for a few days. I have to drive 12 hours to GA tomorrow and I don't want to take the chance of something messing up with the tune and end up stranded here.

Instantly as in as soon as you cranked up the the car or did you drive it a bit first?

if it came on as soon as you cranked it I would check the maf harness is properly connected and the sensor is in the pipe the correct way.

If you had to drive it for a bit before it can on then make sure you don't have any leaks between the maf and the throttle body.

Either way you need to pull the code asap. I don't see how the tune could cause any issues, but you need to see what the code is before your flash it... can't you use ecutek to check the codes?

The llight came on as soon as the engine was started. Pulled the battery but that didn't change anything. I do have a the whole ECUtek kit. But I have no idea how to pull any data from it. I've enver used this software before.

If the light came on as soon as the engine was started. Check all the clamps and the MAF sensor (as mentioned before). You probably just have a leak or an opening somewhere.

This same thing happened to me when my MAF sensor wires got damaged by the serpentine belt. Do you have an Ecutek cable? You can pull the code through their software.

did you drop the sensor while you were swapping it from one pipe to the other by chance?

You can unhook the negative terminal of the battery, un plug and re plug the maf connector (check the pins and connector etc for damage), wait a few minutes, then re connect the negative terminal.

There really isn't much that can go wrong but you do need to be careful with the sensor and the harness.

I would go ahead and install the ecutek software and read the manual real quick to see how to pull the codes.

Just pulled the codes with help from Tony. Turned out to just be a brainfart (lack of a better term) and the code was associated with the AC. I cleared it and all is well now. FA20club support is second to none!
