Flashing from openecu back to stock

So I'm trying to flash back to the stock rom before I load my ECUTek setup I'm switching to.

I'm running a 2014 opensource rom now, and when I first flashed this on, I saved my original rom, but its in SRF format instead of the BIN I was expecting.

Whenever I try to open the stock rom file in ecuflash I get an error "ECUflash could not recognize this ROM image using any of the current definitions. You can choose one of the following options: etc etc"

I had this happening back when I first flashed the 2014 map and I remember I had to d/l the appropriate def file which was something like ZA1JA01C. I think being a 2013 the car came with the A00C version stock. Is this what I need to put in the same folder as the SRF file I saved when I first read the stock rom initially before going openecu? Do I also need an older 32bitbase file?

Someone please help lol.

Ah! Reinstalled ecuflash without any added defs, popped the oem rom in the same folder, and it flashed perfectly. Got it solved!

Yes you need definition file to match rom exactly defs for every rom is different .

Once you start using Ecutek just remember it stores licence info in your rom in car if you or dealer flash with anything but ecutek your ecutek licience will be gone and you have to get it renewed. I suspect it would be a rolling key sequence so you probably cannot just save a copy of the ecutek stock rom with another device.
