Do Your Windows Do This?
It's been raining pretty heavily today and while walking by my 2015 FR-S I noticed a white "fog" forming around the weather strip and a vertical streak of it down the middle of the window. It did not wipe off, so I suspect it's on the inside of the window. My carpet is not wet and my interior does not smell wet/moldy, so I don't suspect any water leaks.
Is this normal for the FR-S/BRZ/86? Do your windows do this too? See below for a photo of what I'm poorly describing.

Well, no ……. but, I would suggest you clean the windows on the inside and out with something like "Invisible Glass" (my favorite).
Then clean/treat the weather stripping with a good product. See if that cures what ails it ….. ![]() humfrz |

it's normal. the streak in the window is the grease from the track system. it's humid and hot on the east coast right now, that shit's gonna happen. i would only really worry when the rear window seal deforms and doesn't return to its original shape.

A torrential rainstorm had just moved through the area. I was taking a cab to a hotel, when the cab driver started to drive through what looked to be a large, muddy lake. He felt that I was concerned and tried to reassure me that he know where the road bed was and that his car had a really high distributor and would not flood out. He told me just to put my feet up on the dash and keep my briefcase up on my lap. Well, you have heard about the "bad water" in Mexico ……. it was even worse when they had open sewers and you were waist high in that water ….. ![]() humfrz |

I usually see some of that when I wash my car on a humid day.

Mine do that. They also squeak after a rain. I'm going to ask the dealership about it.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm glad to hear that it's not unheard of. I'll give everyone's suggestions a shot and see if it gets any better, or maybe even goes away.

Instead of a BSOD, that's a W(ater) Screen Of Death. Wait until you have frost/ice and open the door. It makes a sound like ripping the sutures open in a hernia repair.
