2014 New Head Unit Bluetooth Question (w/ Bespoke Featuring Aha + NAV)

For those of you who already have this radio, whether because you upgraded or got the Release Series and upgraded to include OEM Nav and the new Bespoke (feat. AHA).

I have the new Pioneer head unit. The problem I am having is that when I am connected wirelessly through bluetooth using my iPhone 5 I cannot browse through my music. I can stream the audio and use track +/- but I cannot browse through my albums, artists, etc.

However, when I connect the iPhone 5 through the USB port I can browse through my music. Note the picture below, my iPhone 5 is connected through bluetooth but the browse/list features are greyed out... Anyone else with the same configuration (iPhone 5, new headunit, with Nav/Bespoke upgrade) having the same issue?

Appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

No dice bro. My guess is that it has to do with Apple. When I had a blackberry and entune I would get emails, or texts can't remember, on the screen over Bluetooth. When I swapped to iPhone they stopped showing up. I spoke with the entune gurus and they said apple restricts what manufacturers can do with idevices over Bluetooth. I got no details and just took as that.

So I bet you that browse will not be grayed out with a bb or android device. Will borrow my lady's s3 and report.

Edit - just tried my lady's s3 and same issue. The manual for the radio says, "this function might not available depending on the portable player." Wish they would give a list of supported devices.

I get the same with my Galaxy S3. But I still need to play around with it. I just put in my upgrade NAV and Entune in about an hour and a half ago.

It might be how I am connected. I went through my radio to connect to my phone. Maybe I will try the other way around and see if that changes anything.

This probably doesn't help, but I have a 10 series with no additional modules and I can browse just fine with my Lumia 920 (Windows Phone 8). It even shows my podcasts separately from music which is awesome. Could it have something to do with Bluetooth stack versions or do you think adding Bespoke somehow supersedes the basic workings? Isn't bespoke supposed to be used via an app or something with iPhones?

I just switched to an iPhone 5 and haven't been able to get Entune to work. I checked the list of compatible phones and the 5 did not make it. Hope they can update the system to get the 5 to work. If not oh well.

I got BeSpoke because of the NAV feature off the iPhone. Dealer had no idea that the 5 wouldn't work. I kept asking them if there is a fix for it. Im thinking that I should probably get the new NAV system either free or at a huge discount and "trade in" my existing BeSpoke touch screen.

I saw the 5 listed as a compatible phone here:
http://www.toyota.com/content/entune...lay_Audio2.PDF

However, it appears we need to connect via the USB cable according to these instructions:

For Display Audio With Entune®:
Android and Blackberry Users:
Phone must be paired for hands-free (see instructions above). Bluetooth® streaming audio may also be connected.

The Entune® application must be the current active application on the phone. Ensure that you are Signed In (menu/options or settings) and that the phone is in a "listening" state.

On the Head Unit:

1. Press the Setup button
2. Press Bluetooth®
3. Press Paired Device List
4. Select Device from list (should show colored phone/music note icon)
5. Press Connect to Internet
6. Select provider from list
Note:
The Entune® lockout (disconnect) screen appears on the phone. Entune® apps are accessed on the radio.

iPhone™ Users
Phone must be paired for hands-free (see instructions above). Bluetooth® streaming audio may also be connected.

The Entune® application must be the current active application on the phone. Ensure you are Signed In (menu/options or settings) and the phone is in a "listening" state.

1. Plug the iPhone™ USB cable into the iPhone™ and vehicle USB console port.
2. Do NOT attempt to connect for Internet via the Setup/Bluetooth® menus. A connection failed message will persist. This step is not needed as the Entune® services are enabled when the cable is connected and the Entune® app is launched.
Note:
The Entune® lockout (disconnect) screen appears on the phone. Entune® apps are accessed on the radio.
