FRS Paint

Just a general comment and its been made before......

The paint on my FRS generally sucks. Certainly not up the standards of other vehicles I've owned.

Overall off the lot excessive orange peel.

Durability. Everytime I wash the car I find a new paint chip. My car now with only 7000 miles has as many or more paint chips as Toyota and Chevy vehicles I've had over 100,000 miles on.

At this rate, and assuming I keep the car long term, I see a respray in its future.

FRS paint is made of unicorn farts and disappointment. I've got more chips than Lays®

I got a tiny paint chip on my bumper the day I brought it home. One tiny ping from road debris and I already knew....

It's not just these - seems like all our new cars are the same lately. Must be something 'environmental' about the new paint systems. The least they could do is use similar color primers - for some reason they seem to use dark primers for light color cars and light primers for dark color cars. Make the chips really obvious.

Yeah a couple of my friend's new cars have chip paint. I think it could be some paint regulation that was set up or maybe the car company wants money...

I've ordered OEM touch up paint from Japan. It's going to get a LOT of use.

I AGREE!! And you can thank Subaru for it. That's was one of their contributions to the car.

Precisely why this was my first car with clear bra, just heard too many horror stories about these cars chipping to easy. So far got about 1200 miles on her and only 1 small nick I acquired on the way to Tucson to get the clear bra installed.
