You must be a bumper pulling pro by now! Do you think any of the longtube headers being released need their own calibration? I'm still waiting to see what pans out amongst some of the better ones.

I'm not sure bumper pulling pro is something I really aspired to, but I don't have to read the directions any more...
![]() Depending upon the design, the headers may well help with power, but they won't throw off the calibration... things will continue to work correctly with the existing maps. Cheers |

So Jack-o I'm guessing Timing Out Fuel In is the ticket for breakin' stuff right?

Hix... 92 Octane Fuel Out/Timing In is the most aggressive map we've loaded up in that it runs the most timing and least fuel. That said, it’s not a “breakin’ stuff” map… we have no interest in putting anything out there that’s “too aggressive.” There’s a difference between just a bit too aggressive and getting into some knock retard and going way too far and breakin’ stuff.
To get more aggressive, it's time for a wideband and scan tool to see where things are. What is the AFR? Where is knock retard? Etc... That's sort of the next level and probably a topic for another thread for anybody who wants to get into that sort of stuff. If your engine/octane combination isn't "happy" with 92 F-/T+ map, you'll see a flashing CEL (miss fire detect) and the engine won’t pull quite as hard. If that happens, it’s time to run higher octane or take a step back (pick a map with more fuel and/or less timing) until the power comes back. Cheers |

I love how easy it is to remap..just did in the black of night.
Jack - Is there any issue leaving the flash cable plugged into the unichip? I was thinking of piping into the cabin so I can reflash w/o opening the hood.

Okay. A few days of being home bound bugged me. With me getting a little better of being sick, I was all stuffed up. Needless to say, two hours in the garage in 20 degree temperatures plus a little heater, the Motiv Test Pipe is on. Actually, everything that was provided, including the instructions was of great quality and clear. I mated the MTP to my AP Cat-Back Exhaust. I used the supplied hardware and replaced the gasket at the overpipe. No issues. Now, I haven't driven the car, but in letting the car warm up for a few minutes, I can definitely tell that while revving, it is much more free flowing. So far so good. If I go to work tomorrow, I'll be driving the car. I can provide more info accordingly. Until then, I'm less stuffed up than when I started. The wife is going to think I'm crazy.
Just dedicated. Also, I got some tune's all ready to go for this week's testing. Next weekend I'm putting the Perrin CAI on top of my Perrin intake tube and testing all over again. Ah, the fun of modding.

I drove the car. Much more free flowing. Playing with my Unichip tunes to see which one is best for the next week until I get my Perrin CAI.

Hi Jack, very cool stuff. I am just waiting for my Nameless CB to arrive.
I am just wondering if the Unichip app for Android can replace the Flux2 in car display? |

I don't see where you can purchase the bluetooth adapter anywhere. It only has a listing on the Unichip site but no option or availability.

There are lots of Bluetooth OBDC-2 adapters on the market as per the Torque app site:
http://torque-bhp.com/wiki/Bluetooth_Adapters Just wondering which one the Unichip team will support. |

No formal replies on Bluetooth module so one must assume it isn't for sale in the states.
