Second opinion on repair quote

Hi folks,

Will post some pics after work. But last night i was at the jays game and come back to the parking lot only to find someone hit my rear bumper (no dents, just very deep scratches luckily), unfortunately there were no cameras so I have to pay for this out of my pocket.

So anyways I went to one of the better shops in my area and they quoted me $750. He said he will remove it and paint the entire bumper. I told him price seems high and he said if I give him 600 in cash he would be able to do it for that too.

Does this seem fair? New rear bumper would cost around $300. You think I could get a paint job on it for 300 give or take to match the price of this shop repainting?

File under uninsured motorist. You will pay your deductible and that's all

Sounds too high. I had a bumper painted for around 440 for a Pearl White Bumper. It came out just like factory.

I paid around $800 for my rear bumper to be fixed. This included a new bumper, as a couple scratches were just too deep, so new bumper, color matched and installed. I felt it was a bit high, but results look good.
