Sigh...

Well, it's been a beautiful Christmas, and I'm hoping for a wonderful, caring, New Year for us all. Wish I hadn't read that post.

I'm a musician and teacher. Years ago, I was playing a jazz festival and the soundguy was ... ummm... more than slightly unfamiliar with... lessee.. .kind of a long list.. his equipment.. jazz ... the sound of real instruments... anything other than ear-splitting metal concerts (at least judging by the shrill, ear-splitting, noise hash coming from the monitors and FOH systems). The leader of our band, in total frustration during sound check, said,

"Those who can't do, teach... those who can't teach, teach gym. Those who can't teach gym, run sound." As a teacher, I still laughed at it.
perhaps you like your dog more only because he can't talk back. you know they make ball gags for the rest, right?

also, i'm thoroughly enjoying your oddly definitive speculation of my career path from a forum name that i've used since high school.
