CarGuy - I don't get the reason for concern about "dangling" spacers lol
I have really nice machined 5mm hub-centric spacers on my back wheels and they tend to stock to disc rotor anyway - drilling into the wheels to just mount the spacers on the wheels seems overdone IMO
