old thread, i know. but no one else seems to be giving answers..
i am running these in the dash location

2.1" depth, they are sitting on the ductwork below the speaker, and the oem bolts plus some aluminum flat stock are holding them down to keep them from going anywhere. secure, but kinda hokey, and to my ears sounds more natural then any tweeter i've stuck up there to reflect off the glass.
