About a week ago a neighbor lady from down the street, stopped by to deliver a package to us that was delivered to her house. She was an attractive mid thirties woman. As our conversation evolved she said that she was a medical doctor at Madigan Army Hospital and held the rank of Major.

She asked me if I had served in the military. I said that I was an Army infantry captain, back in the day. She kept calling me "sir". I said she didn't have to do that because I should be calling her "sir", since she was a major. She said she just couldn't help herself because it was her upbringing to address older men as "sir".
