The 3" one should perform similar (though better). The 5" one should perform quite a bit better.
Here is the review on the Velox (ft86speedfactory) splitter and why He switched to this foam core carbon fiber.

Velox was doing the testing until driveway labs asked for changes to be made to the splitter design to perform better, and they declined. He then went and chose to go with this carbon splitter, at which point they cut ties with him.
