I took my POS truck driveshaft to a shop because mine was 25 years old, the joints were gummed up and it wasn't serviceable, they ended up welding up a custom driveshaft for my 4-banger 134 hp (when new) Nissan pickup.
$560 with universal Chevy truck joints, driveshaft was the nicest thing on that POS when I sold it aside from how cold the AC was.
If my corner shop will do it for less than the price of a set of OE tires I think the driveshaft is one of the least of your worries.
