I don't think the 'street car' would exist without the Griffon... the Griffon is the reason the car was made in the first place. More power would be useful for the rear and main straight and would help in reducing the time by at least half a second to one second... won't do much of anything in the corners though.
My point was you can see the Griffon is a VERY dialed in car for the track. It was Evasive's first time on the track and they set a great lap time with a very competent driver. They will only be faster with more time on track, but put the videos of the Evasive car and the Griffon side by side and the differences are readily apparent on the characteristics of each car. Shows how TRD resources can better an 86 for track duty while keeping it near stock power levels, and those resources have trickled down to the 14R60...
