by lowering the coolant temp from the 92 deg C to the 82 deg C with this thermostat, you gain power by having a slightly cooler cylinder head and so better volumetric efficency
you also gain more headroom for spark, so the cooler temperature is well worth having
its probably not much but I bet its about the 3-4bhp mark
