Mitsubishi had the crankwalk issues on the 4g63 motors, but haven't heard of anything bad otherwise. The Evo motors are solid, and I grew up with various Pajeros (both diesel and turbo diesel) that was solid for 20 years

VQ37 had issues from 2008 to 2011. Not sure about previous engines.
