Hey guys, I just picked up a 2018 BRZ PP, and I'm looking at aftermarket wheels to get a more aggressive appearance.

I already know 18x9.5 +38 is a common size and I was also looking at some 18x8.5s as well, with the goal of getting close to "perfect" fitment with the fender edge (no poke no tuck). I'll be running either springs or coils with the setup.

My question is will 9.5s make the car feel noticeably more sluggish over 8.5s? I love the concave look wider wheels can give but I don't necessarily want to compromise drivability completely. And secondly, if you have any recommendations for 8.5 wide wheels with some nice concave, leave them here if you could! I'm a fan of Rays, Advans, Works, etc but reps are cool too (haven't decided on budget yet). Thanks!
