The damage to my wheel and tire is actually from
2016. I only just decided to finally do something about it.
As for the damage to the sidewall, I brought my car into a tire shop and asked the technician to inspect it. He said there's nothing to worry about because it never pierced the inner layer. This confirms what I read online about sidewall damage from various sources.
I've been driving fine for years.
