Subaru already said they won’t build a car that doesn’t meet their safety requirements. That all but rules out a convertible.
IIRC Subaru had to publish instructions on how to cut through the B-pillars on new Subarus, because firefighters were unable to get through them in an acceptable time. Subaru makes one of the strongest passenger cells in the industry.
