Been a while on this thread as I expect trans is back in. Minor issue for sure. I would check the the concern spots and file down any burrs. You'd be done in seconds. Likely not many from prying as they'd push away from your mounting surface.
And yea, trannys can be a pill. My first clutch change was a 1980 Pontiac Sunbird cast iron 4 speed at 16 years old. Pretty sure that thing weighed more than I did at the time, sure felt like it. Haha.
