Did they fix it?
Did they charge you for it?
If the answers are yes and no then what more do you want? It sucks but things like that happen.
You signed for the car as acceptable as delivered and then had it a week before pointing out the problem so there is no way to prove you didn't do it (not saying you did).
Read through this forum and see how many guys mess their cars up and then take it is for warranty work and you will understand why the dealer asked the perfectly reasonable question.
