I think the takeaway here is that it's impressive that it is even possible to make that comparison. In a slower car the M2 comp would wipe the floor with you, even with a novice driver.

EDIT: Keep in mind this is in the canyons where cornering speed is much more important than power numbers. In my old FRS the cornering speeds were unbelievable after I put wider sticky tires on it.
~800lb advantage in the canyons is pretty massive even if the M2C has double the power.
