Three reasons;
  1. It defeats the purpose of learning in a lower grip environment.
  2. Hankooks or Azenis probably won't last more than 10k miles with the 6 track days I plan on doing the rest of this season. It's not a deal breaker but I put 20k miles a year on my car. For me, it's a factor.
  3. The added grip is going to necessitate a pad upgrade from the Hawk HPS that are barely holding on to something completely non streatable.
I'm not completely against swapping pads and wheels/tires if I have too. It's a slippery slope that I'd like to avoid. If PS4S's can hold together for a 25min session on a 90+ degree day the great.
