People claim to like sporty stuff but what actually sells is trucks. Big things with lots of torque.
People claim to like shifting for themselves but they buy things that are so torquey that no shifting is necessary. Why shift when you can mash the gas?
Make it an automatic SUV with 300+ ft-lbs and sales will go through the roof. Nobody wants a sports car.
