Toyota said from the beginning they would do yearly changes on the Supra à la GTR. Combine that with the fact that the Z4 had the 385hp motor in the first model year, and nobody was surprised that the Supra got it the year after. They bumped the boost from 12 to 14 PSI, that’s trivial. Earlier BMW turbo motors (N54) run 8PSI stock but they will run 15PSI all day long.

On what planet do you plan on getting 262hp from a 2.4l NA motor that passes global emissions? You’d need 14.5/1 compression, cause it’s not like the motor keeps making power from raising the redline. You can quote me, this will not happen with the BRZ/GR86.
