Program Car Key?

Okay. Did more research and I’m not entirely sure which chip to buy. I think the safest and guaranteed way to get this working is to buy an OEM valet for ~60 and then extract the chip and insert it into one of our many aftermarket clicker keys. Here is a video showing how to cut the valet key open:

At least we can avoid the dealers ripoff programming fee and the valet is only 60 compared to 160 or so for an OEM clicker.

Im not sure if you have noticed but the chip is wedged into the side of the key shell. A very thin flat head will get it out. Then we just press the extracted chip in.

The part number for the valet is SU003-01453

The downfall to using the chip from a valet is this chip can’t be used to pair a new key. Only master keys can be used to pair a new key. So you if you are like me and only have one master left you have to guard it with your life.

Hmm. Maybe just buy the front cover of the key? Here is the part number:
SU003-03945

Maybe I can find a local dealer with one in stock and have a look at it to see if the chip is in the slot. The front cover is $60.
