I ran very briefly with no spring, and there was a lot of slop in the pedal at the top end, but it seemed to go away once I put the MTEC spring in. Maybe I'm just used to clutches that have some slop in them, because I don't think its that bad to use. Although the bite point is another subject....

Theres still a bit of slop right at the top with MTEC spring but really its only noticable compared to stock. After a week of driving I don't pay attention to it anymore
