There's all sortsa potential reasons why. One of which is, maybe these tires *aren't* garbage after 2 laps....

Your opinion is based on the experience of others, though.
Anyway for 90% of the cases where someone lacking experience is asking for info, it is most likely not pertinent if tires lose a few tenths after 3 or four laps in the hands of an expert driver.
